I'M BETSY, OR, UH, WAS RECENTLY APPOINTED TO THE BOARD EARLIER THIS YEAR.

UM, I'M THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE DICKIE FOUNDATION, UM, CHARITABLE ARM FOR DICKIE'S BARBECUE PIT.

UM, I THINK YOU PROBABLY HAVE HEARD OF US, UH, , HOPEFULLY HAVE SOME BIG YELLOW CUPS IN OUR CABINS.

UM, BUT MY WIFE AND I LIVE OVER IN OAK LAWN HEIGHTS OVER OFF OF PARKLAND AVENUE.

AND, UH, YOU KNOW, WE'RE EXCITED TO, TO BE ABLE TO HELP THAT AREA CONTINUE TO GROW.

UM, I BELIEVE THAT ONLY OTHER LADIES, DAVE, UH, TON.

DAVE, YOU WANNA TAKE A MINUTE TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO GROUP? YES, DAVE TON AND I'M ACTUALLY BEEN ON THE BOARD PROBABLY LESS THAN A YEAR, BUT FOR SO MANY YEARS I WAS VP AND GM, TWO HOTEL COMPANIES.

ONE WAS BASED, UM, HERE IN DALLAS CALLED BRISTOL HOTELS, AND WE HAD ABOUT 122 HOTELS AND I MANAGED, IRONICALLY, THE CHARIN, WHICH AT THAT TIME WAS THE HARVEY, UM, FOR 10 YEARS AT D F W AIRPORT, UM, WITH, WITH A HOTEL CALLED HARVEY HOTEL FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS AT THE AIRPORT.

UM, THE TWO HOTELS THAT WERE INSIDE OF 1400 GUEST ROOMS AT THAT TIME, THE LARGEST AIRPORTS HOTEL IN THE WORLD.

UM, AND THEN BEFORE I RETIRED, UM, I WAS GM AND VP OF THE FORT WORTH.

UM, HAVE STAYED INVOLVED IN HOTEL ASSOCIATION HERE IN DALLAS, AND, UM, VERY MUCH INVOLVED IN, I DON'T KNOW, KNOWING WHAT'S GOING ON HOTEL, HOTEL WISE.

NOW I'M DOING VOLUNTEER STUFF AND I RETIRED, IRONICALLY, MARCH OF 2020 , AND I WAS, I WAS MANAGING TWO HOTELS IN NABA.

UM, ONE HOTEL, UH, WAS CALLED HOTEL, UH, ARIZONA.

THE OTHER WAS HOTEL VILLE.

VERY UPSCALE, VERY EXPENSIVE.

UM, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT COVID WOULD CHOSE US TO APPLE.

IT DID.

AND, UH, BUT I, I'VE BEEN BLESSED WITH A GREAT HOTEL CAREER AND A DOING THE VOLUNTEER STUFF, WHICH I THINK IS SUPER.

YEAH.

AND I LIVE IN PRAIRIE HEIGHTS, UM, WHICH IS KIND OF IN THE OAK LAWN.

IT'S IN , UM, LEMON, AND, UM, IT'S A REGULAR AREA WALKING DISTANCE TO WHOLE FOODS AND ALSO GROW.

SO A GREAT AREA.

WE REALLY APPRECIATE THIS.

UM, OKAY, SO THIS ITEM, IF YOU'LL RECALL OUR LAST MEETING BACK IN ABOUT A YEAR AGO WAS QUAN PLACED TEAM COMING TO US ASKING FOR AN INCREASE IN THE T SUBSIDY.

UM, THE, THE APPROVED SUBSIDY AT THE TIME IS ABOUT 4.4 MILLION AND THEY WERE ASKING FOR ABOUT A MILLION MORE,

BRINGING THE TOTAL TO 5.4 MILLION IN EXCHANGE FOR THE SUBSIDY WE REQUIRED, UM, THAT THEY HAVE THEIR BUILDING PERMIT ISSUED BY JULY OF THIS YEAR.

UH, THEY COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION BY DECEMBER OF NEXT YEAR, THAT THEY HAD RAISED THEIR MINIMUM AMOUNT OF INVESTMENT FROM 17 MILLION TO 20 MILLION AND THAT THEY WOULD INCREASE THEIR GOOD FAITH EFFORT GOAL FOR MINORITY AND WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES FROM OUR STANDARD 32% TO 36%.

UM, SO SEASONS HAVE PASSED, UH, AND FEBRUARY THEY BROKE GROUND.

AND KELLY PAGE, WHO IS THE, THE SENIOR, UM, UH, MANAGER ON SITE FOR THE, FOR THE PROJECT WITH SPRING VALLEY CONSTRUCTION IS HERE TODAY.

AND HE IS GOING TO WALK US THROUGH, UM, SOME, SOME OF THE PROGRESS SLIDES AND GIVE US SOME UPDATES ON M W B E AND OTHER IMPORTANT PARTS OF THIS AGREEMENT.

SO THIS IS A 84 UNIT SENIOR LIVING FACILITY.

IT'S GONNA BE FIVE STORIES TALL.

UM, THE RIGHT HAND SIDE IS THE BUILDING PROPER WITH A LARGE 5,000 SQUARE FOOT AMENITY DECK FOR THE TENANTS IN THE CENTER HERE.

YOU CAN'T REALLY TELL BY THIS PICTURE HERE, BUT THE CENTER OF THIS IS A LITTLE BIT OF A CREEK BED.

UM, ALSO PLAN KIND OF PICTURE NORTH, UM, THAT IS ALSO A CREEK BED.

SO, UM, A LOT OF OVERHEAD COVERAGE AND YOU'LL SEE SOME OF THE, THOSE PHOTOS AND THE, THE NEXT PICTURES.

UM, WHAT YOU SEE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE USED TO BE A, UM, I THINK JUST A A, AN OLD CAR LOT.

UM, THAT IS JUST GONNA BE PARKING FOR OUR TENANTS ON SITE.

UM, THERE WERE, I THINK THIS WAS FOUR DIFFERENT ADDRESSES PRIOR, UH, I THINK YOU HAD A COUPLE HOUSES AND A SMALL BUSINESS AND THEN A STORAGE YARD.

UM, ALL THOSE ARE GONE NOW.

IN FEBRUARY WE BROKE GROUND.

UM, IF YOU LOOK AT THE PHOTO TOP RIGHT WHERE YOU SEE THE TREES IN THE CENTER OF THE SITE, THAT IS THE CREEK AREA IN REFERENCE.

SO THE BUILDING PAD KIND OF, UM, PLATEAUS AND THEN DROPS OFF INTO THE CREEK A LITTLE BIT.

IT'S NOT TECHNICALLY THE CREEK, IT'S JUST LOWER DIRT AREAS.

UM, THE UNDERGROUND PLUMBING FOR THE BUILDING IS INSTALLED AND BY THE NEXT MONTH, NEXT SLIDE, YOU'LL SEE THAT WE, UM, YEAH, WE CALLED THE THE CAMERA COMPANY OUT A FEW WEEKS LATER JUST 'CAUSE WE WERE GETTING READY TO POUR THIS CONCRETE AND WANTED TO GET A PHOTO.

THIS IS WHY IN JUNE WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT, UH, CAPTURES.

THE FOUNDATION IS NOW IN PLACE AS OF JUNE, 2023 OR JUNE 23RD OF 23.

UM, WE, AS YOU SEE, THE NEXT THING HERE IS WE MOBILIZED OUR, UH, MASONRY SUBCONTRACTOR TO START WORKING ON SOME C M U TOWERS FOR OUR STAIRS AND OUR ELEVATORS NEXT SLIDE.

AND THOSE ARE NOW GOING UP IN JULY.

UM, THE OTHER THING THAT HAS CHANGED ON SITE AS OF FROM JUNE TO JULY IS THE PAVING, UM, IN THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER THAT PAVING IS NOW DOWN.

UM, SO THE PARKING LOT IS COMPLETE.

THE AREA THAT YOU SEE TO THE LEFT OF THAT LITTLE, UM, IT'S, I THINK IT'S A SKY TRACK THAT IS GONNA BE A DOG PARK, UM, OR FOR THE TENANTS TO USE.

UM, AND THAT'S ONE OF JUST ONE OF THE SITE AMENITIES THAT WE HAVE OTHER THAN THE AMENITY DECK AROUND THE BUILDING.

SO HERE IN AUGUST, THE STRUCTURAL STEEL AT THE CLUBHOUSE IS NEARLY COMPLETE.

THE STAIR TOWERS IN ELEVATOR SHAFTS ARE DONE.

AND THE WHAT YOU'LL SEE, WE DON'T HAVE PHOTOS OBVIOUSLY FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER YET BECAUSE WE GET THEM LATER ON IN THE MONTH.

UM, HOWEVER, THE NEXT SLIDE WILL SHOW THAT WE HAVE SINCE STARTED, UH, WOOD FRAMING, WHICH IS WHAT THE PROGRESS IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW.

UM, WE ACTUALLY HAVE WALLS UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR NOW, UM, TRUSSES, THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER IS ANOTHER PHOTO OF OUR CLUBHOUSE, UH, THAT'S STRUCTURAL STEEL IN THE WOOD THAT GOES IN THE STRUCTURAL STEEL.

UM, BOTTOM LEFT HAND PHOTO IS, UH, A PICTURE OF THE CABINETS THAT ARE DONE AND GO ON THE UNITS WITH THE COUNTERTOPS.

UM, SO THE OWNERS AND ARCHITECTS HAVE PICKED A, UH, CLASSY, UH, FINISH.

THE BOTTOM MIDDLE IS THE SELECTION OF BRICK THAT WE ARE GONNA HAVE AT THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING.

AND FOR YOU GUYS THAT ARE NEW, I'M NOT SURE IF, IF YOU KNOW ALL THE DETAILS ON IT, BUT, UM, IT'S A HUNDRED PERCENT AFFORDABLE AND IT'S SENIOR, SO 55 AND UP, UM, AND IT'S GEARED TOWARDS THE L G B T Q COMMUNITY, BUT IT IS NOT, YOU KNOW, IT'S NOT RESTRICTED TO JUST THAT COMMUNITY.

UM, IT'S WITHIN A, GOSH, TWO BLOCK DISTANCE FROM THE RESOURCE CENTER, WHICH IS KIND OF APPARENT, UM, OVERSIGHT GROUP WITH THIS THAT OFFERS ALL KINDS OF, OF RESOURCES TO THAT COMMUNITY.

AS OF RIGHT NOW, I MEAN, YES, THERE ARE ISSUES EVERY SINGLE DAY, BUT AS LONG AS WE WRITE SUBCONTRACTS EARLY ENOUGH AND SUBCONTRACTORS ARE ABLE TO PROCURE THEIR MATERIALS IN A TIMELY MANNER, UM, AND WE'RE ABLE TO GET AHEAD OF LEAD TIMES OR THINGS LIKE THAT, THAT WE, WE, WE TYPICALLY WON'T RUN INTO ANY ISSUES, UM, FROM HERE ON OUT.

AND IT'S STILL PLANNING ON OPENING MAY 24TH?
