NEXT SLIDE. ANDREW, I'LL TURN THIS OVER TO YOU.

SO, CHAIR ATKINS, YOU WANTED TO SEE HOW WE WERE PERFORMING FROM A CUSTOMER SERVICE LEVEL, AND YOU WANTED US TO TO COME BACK AND GIVE YOU SOME OF THOSE RESULTS. AND SO FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2024, WE RECEIVED 47 TOTAL RESPONSES.

AND OUT OF OF THOSE 47, 44 WERE POSITIVE RESPONSES.

SO 94% OF OUR CUSTOMERS EITHER STRONGLY AGREED OR AGREED WITH A POSITIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR, WE'VE RECEIVED 184 WITH 167 BEING POSITIVE.

AND SO OVERALL, OUR RATING IS 91%.

YOU'LL SEE I WON'T READ ANY OF THE COMMENTS THAT ARE THERE, BUT THESE ARE ACTUAL QUOTES THAT CAME FROM OUR DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY AS IT RELATES TO OUR ENGINEERING TEAM, OUR ZONING CONSULTATION TEAM, AND ALSO OUR BUILDING PERMITTING TEAM.

NEXT SLIDE PLEASE.

ON THIS GRAPH, YOU'LL NOTICE THOSE CUSTOMER SERVICE SURVEY RESULTS MONTH OVER MONTH FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF, WHICH WE STOOD UP ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF AGO.

AGAIN, THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE SURVEY GOES OUT WITH EVERY EMAIL, EVERY MARKETING TOOL, EVERY APPLICATION, AND IT'S POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE.

WE WANT TO BE SURE TO LISTEN TO OUR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK AND IMPROVE ACCORDINGLY.

NEXT SLIDE AND I'LL TURN IT BACK OVER TO ASSISTANT DIRECTOR YOUNG.

OUR UPDATE FOR THE RELOCATION IS 7800 NORTH STEMMONS IS DSD IS COORDINATING, CONTINUES TO COORDINATE WITH THE BOND OFFICE AND ITS CONTRACTORS.

WE'RE ON THE PHASE THREE DESIGN, AND IT'S COMPLETE.

AND PROPOSED COMPLETION DATE IS SLATED FOR APRIL 2024 FOR THE THIRD FLOOR, WHICH INCLUDE THE FURNITURE SCHEDULE FOR DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION.

AND THE TEAMS THAT WILL BE LOCATED THERE WILL BE OUR LAND DEVELOPMENT TEAM, OUR ARBORIST TEAM, DRAINAGE AND PAVING, GIS MANAGEMENT, AND SO FORTH.

ESTIMATED COMPLETION OF FOURTH FLOOR BY END OF APRIL 2024.

NEXT SLIDE PLEASE.

THE NEXT STEPS ARE TO COMPLETE PHASE THREE OF STEMMONS TRANSITION.

HOST THE DSD HIRING FAIR APRIL THE 12TH.

WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT.

TO PARTNER WITH HR, HUMAN RESOURCES AND COMPENSATION ON THE PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL INSPECTOR JOB CLASSIFICATION DETAILS, LAUNCH COMMERCIAL PERMITTING DASHBOARD.

WITH THAT, WE COMPLETE OUR PRESENTATION AND OPEN THE FLOOR FOR ANY QUESTIONS.

OKAY, COLLEAGUES ANY QUESTIONS, COUNCILMAN RIDLEY.

THANK YOU, MR. CHAIR.

MR. ESPINOZA, I HAVE BEEN HEARING OF DISSATISFACTION IN YOUR DEPARTMENT AMONGST THE INSPECTORS.

AND THAT DISSATISFACTION STEMS FROM LOW MORALE.

DISSATISFACTION THAT JOBS FOR INSPECTORS ARE SUPERVISOR POSITIONS WHICH ARE LEADING TO SHORTAGE OF FIELD INSPECTORS, THAT THE PART TIME POSITIONS ARE NOT PAYING ENOUGH FOR PEOPLE TO BE INTERESTED IN THOSE JOBS.

AND THAT THE NORTHWEST DISTRICT OFFICE HAS BEEN CLOSED, CITING 140 CODE VIOLATIONS AT 7800 STEMMONS. COULD YOU COMMENT ON THOSE ISSUES? COUNCIL MEMBER RIDLEY THANK YOU FOR THAT QUESTION.

AS YOU KNOW, WITH THE MANY CHANGES WE'VE MADE, THERE'S COME THERE COMES WITH IT A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRESSURE AND STRESS ON, ON OUR TEAM MEMBERS TO ADJUST.

FOR EXAMPLE, HAVING FOLKS AT [INAUDIBLE] FOR THE PAST 20 PLUS YEARS DRIVING THERE EVERY SINGLE DAY AND THEN NOW RELOCATING THEM TO STEMMONS. THAT IMPACTS THEIR DAILY LIFE.

AND IT CHANGES THEIR ROUTINE.

AND SO WE'RE WORKING TO TRY TO NAVIGATE THOSE ADJUSTMENTS AND, AND TALK TO THE TEAM ABOUT THE REASON FOR THE CHANGES.

THE PART TIME POSITIONS.

THIS WAS A RECRUITMENT STRATEGY THAT WAS ROLLED OUT TO SEE IF WE COULD HIRE SOME RETIRED TRADESMEN TO COME IN AND DO INSPECTIONS FOR US. UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE HAD, LIKE, TWO PEOPLE APPLY.

ONE PERSON WAS HIRED, AND THEN IT TURNED OUT THEY DIDN'T QUALIFY.

SO THAT'S WHY DSDS PARTNERING WITH HR TO TO LOOK AT THOSE JOB QUALIFICATIONS, LOOK AT THE PAY, AND THEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, CONDUCT AN ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT FULL TIME INSPECTORS COMPENSATION.

AS FAR AS THE VIOLATIONS AT STEMMONS, I KNOW THAT OUR BOND OFFICE HAS BEEN WORKING HARD TO ASSESS THE ONGOING NEEDS OF THAT

[00:15:05]

PARTICULAR PROPERTY.

IT IS A USED BUILDING, I BELIEVE, BUILT IN THE 80S, AND SO THERE ARE SOME MAINTENANCE ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.

AND SO I ASSURE YOU THAT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES IS PARTNERING WITH THE BOND OFFICE TO GET THOSE ISSUES ADDRESSED.

IN ADDITION, WE ARE NOT ALLOWING ANY OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS TO OCCUPY ANY FLOORS THAT POTENTIALLY ARE UNSAFE OR DO NOT HAVE APPROVAL FROM OUR OFFICE OR THE FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE TO BE OCCUPIED.

AND SO HOPEFULLY THAT THAT ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS.

WELL, HAVE YOU DETECTED LOW MORALE IN YOUR DEPARTMENT? I BELIEVE THAT LAST YEAR WE RECEIVED SOME SURVEY RESULTS FROM A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY HR HAD DONE ABOUT A DEPARTMENT, THE DEPARTMENT'S MORALE.

AND WHAT I IDENTIFIED WAS THERE WERE WERE SOME MORALE ISSUES AND PROBABLY STILL ARE BASED UPON, AGAIN, THE CHANGES AND THE TRANSITION AND AND THE THINGS THAT ARE OCCURRING WITH THE DEPARTMENT.

SO MY GOAL IS TO WORK WITH MY EXECUTIVE TEAM TO BE ACTIVELY ENGAGED WITH OUR TEAM MEMBERS, COMMUNICATE WITH THEM AND SUPPORT THEM.

AND SO WE'LL CONTINUE TO TO WORK WITH AND PARTNER WITH OUR, OUR STAFF TO, TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ENJOY COMING TO WORK, FEEL EMPOWERED TO DO THEIR JOB, ARE RECOGNIZED AND REWARDED FOR WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

WELL, OBVIOUSLY, THESE ARE POTENTIALLY CRITICAL ISSUES FOR THE SUCCESS OF YOUR DEPARTMENT.

SO I WOULD HOPE THAT YOU WOULD BE ATTENTIVE TO ISSUES OF YOUR PERSONNEL AND ADDRESS ANY CAUSES OF MORALE PROBLEMS AS THEY COME UP.

YES, SIR. THANK YOU.

ANYONE ELSE ON THE COMMITTEE? ANYONE ELSE? CHAIRMAN WEST.

THANK YOU, CHAIRMAN, AND THANK YOU FOR CONTINUING TO MAKE THIS A PRIORITY.

AND GREAT JOB TODAY TO STAFF FOR FOR THE UPDATES AND THE IMPROVEMENTS.

A COUPLE OF THINGS.

THE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SURVEY.

I THINK THAT'S REALLY GREAT THAT YOU'VE ROLLED THAT OUT AND VERY USEFUL.

AND I REALLY THINK FOR ALL OF OUR DEPARTMENTS IN THE CITY THAT INTERFACE WITH THE PUBLIC ON A REGULAR BASIS, THIS IS A STANDARD WE SHOULD BE GOING BY BECAUSE IT IT'S IT'S COLLECTING REAL TIME FEEDBACK IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY INTERACT WITH THE CITY.

AND SO THAT'S THAT'S ABOVE AND BEYOND.

THAT'S WHAT WE SEE OUT IN THE PRIVATE WORLD.

AND NOT EVEN ENOUGH.

SO GREAT JOB WITH THAT.

ON THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

THANK YOU FOR EMBRACING THAT AND LOOKING INTO THAT.

NOW, TO MAKE SURE I UNDERSTOOD DIRECTOR YOUNG, WHAT YOU SAID ON YOUR SLIDE, YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO RESEARCH IT A LITTLE MORE AND THEN CONSIDER BRINGING AN RFP TO DO SOME CONSIDER DOING AI WITH PERMITTING AND ALSO ZONING.

IS THAT RIGHT? THANK YOU, COUNCIL MEMBER WEST, FOR THAT QUESTION.

WE'RE GOING TO PARTNER WITH ITS AND PROCUREMENT AND SEE WHAT THE STANDARDS ARE.

WE'LL LET THEM TAKE THE LEAD AND JUST BE AN END USER ON THAT.

WE'LL GIVE OUR SUGGESTIONS OF THE POSSIBLE WAYS THAT WE COULD UTILIZE THAT TECHNOLOGY AND AGAIN FOLLOW ITS AND PROCUREMENT LEAD.

OKAY. SO WE'LL JUST CAN YOU JUST KEEP THAT ON THIS UPDATE JUST LIKE SO WE CAN GET A STATUS EVERY MONTH.

COUNCIL MEMBER WE'LL BE HAPPY TO DO THAT.

THANK YOU. GREAT.

AND THEN I DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THE QUESTIONS THAT MR. RIDLEY JUST ASKED ON THE MORALE.

I ALSO UNDERSTAND YOUR RESPONSE WHICH IS WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THIS TRANSITION, HOW, YOU KNOW, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE SOME PEOPLE THAT IT'S GOING TO DISRUPT WHAT THEY'RE USED TO.

AND, AND YOUR DEPARTMENT HAS GONE THROUGH A LOT OF TRANSITION SINCE COVID.

AND I THINK AT THIS POINT YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND IT'S I WE'RE SENSITIVE TO THAT, CERTAINLY.

BUT, YOU KNOW, I SUPPORT WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND UNDERSTAND IT IS GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT OF A ROCKY ROAD FOR FOLKS TO GET USED TO ALL THESE CHANGES AND THE MOVE THAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO MAKE AS WELL INTO A NEW FACILITY.

SO I THINK IT'LL IT'LL WILL COME THROUGH BETTER ESPECIALLY ONCE WE ALL GET INTO THE NEW FACILITY.

BUT JUST KNOW YOU GOT OUR AT LEAST MY SUPPORT AND AND BACKING ON THIS.

THANK YOU. THANKS, CHAIR.

THAT'S IT. ANYONE IN VIRTUAL? ADAM BAZALDUA, CHAIR STEWART.

OKAY. A COUPLE COUPLE QUESTIONS.

YOU WERE SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT THE DASHBOARD.

APRIL 24TH, A ROLLOUT.

I BELIEVE THAT IS THAT DAY CORRECT.

I THOUGHT WE WE'RE LOOKING AT WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET WITH ALL THE COUNCIL MEMBERS AND MAKE SURE WE HAVE A COMPLETE BRIEFING BEFORE WE ROLL THAT OUT.

[00:20:02]

I DON'T WANT TO HALF ROLL IT OUT.

SO IS THAT DATE CORRECT? IT'S STILL APRIL OR GOING TO BE ON ANOTHER DATE? CHAIR THANK YOU FOR THAT INQUIRY.

SO OUR GOAL IS TO PROACTIVELY WORK WITH ALL THE COUNCIL MEMBERS IN APRIL, WALK THEM THROUGH THE DASHBOARD, HOW IT FUNCTIONS, HOW IT'S ILLUSTRATES OUR PERFORMANCE.

AND SO WE'RE THINKING ABOUT TAKING APRIL TO DO THAT MAY WE'LL UPDATE OUR STAKEHOLDERS OUR DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE OUR HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION BECAUSE THEY'RE INTERESTED IN THE COMMERCIAL NUMBERS AS WELL.

AND THEN COME BACK TO YOU AT THE ECO DEV COMMITTEE IN JUNE AND GIVE YOU A FULL PRESENTATION.

RIGHT. AND SO THEREFORE, HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO MARKET? HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET IT OUT TO THE PEOPLE, TO THE DEVELOPER? HOW ARE WE GOING TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE AWARE OF THE DASHBOARD? SO CHAIR, WE'LL WORK WITH OUR COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER AND OFFICER TO DEVELOP A GOOD COMMUNICATIONS PLAN.

AND OBVIOUSLY WE'RE DOING ALL THE WORK ON THE FRONT END, BUT WE'LL ALSO LEVERAGE SOCIAL MEDIA, OUR WEBSITE BULLETINS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND THEN EVENTUALLY HOSTED ON OUR WEBSITE.

YEAH. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU, CHAIR WEST, FOR BRINGING THE ITS AND YOUR COMMITTEE, AND WE KIND OF DISCUSSED THIS ALSO ON TRYING TO GET A PROPER PROCEDURE, HOW WE GET THIS DONE. SO, VERNON, COULD YOU KIND OF WALK US THROUGH THE PROCEDURE? HOW ARE WE GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, YOU KNOW, THAT WHAT CHAIRMAN WEST BROUGHT UP.

THANK YOU, CHAIRMAN, FOR BRINGING IT UP IN YOUR COMMITTEE.

AND WE BROUGHT UP COMMITTEE.

YOU KNOW, WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE SURE THE PROCESS AND PROCEDURE WAS DONE CORRECTLY.

SO THAT'S WHY IT WAS ON THIS SLIDE TODAY.

SO VERNON, WILL YOU GO THROUGH IT? WALK THROUGH IT? YES.

YES. MAYOR PRO TEM.

ATKINS. AND SO WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS TO CONTINUE TO PARTNER AGAIN WITH ITS IN THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS RIGHT NOW.

WE'RE IN THE EARLY STAGES OF EXPLORING IT, TRYING TO DETERMINE THE DIFFERENT WAYS WE CAN UTILIZE THIS GREAT NEW TECHNOLOGY, MAKE SURE WE'RE WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF THE CITY AND PROCUREMENT AS WE MOVE FORWARD.

BUT AGAIN, LEAN HEAVILY ON OUR PARTNERS IN ITS PROCUREMENT, WHO ARE THE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AS FAR AS THE TECHNOLOGY PIECE, WE JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE AS A DEPARTMENT, ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF THIS TECHNOLOGY AND FIND A WAY TO UTILIZE IT THAT HELPS WITH OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WITH OUR EFFICIENCIES.

OKAY. AND WHEN WE I GUESS I HEAR THAT THE PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL RIGHT NOW, YOU WERE LOOKING AT PART TIME.

THEY HAD TO BE A MASTER PLUMBER TO GET STUFF DONE.

SO HOW WE RESOLVE THAT ISSUE.

BUT ALSO I HEAR THAT THE PAY RATE, THE PAY SCALE.

SO HOW ARE WE WORKING WITH HR TO MAKE SURE THE PAY SCALE IS CORRECTLY OR WHAT ARE WE DOING WITH WITH THAT ISSUE? CHAIR, YOU'RE 100% CORRECT.

RIGHT NOW, THE MECHANICAL, MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING INSPECTORS ARE THE ONLY INSPECTORS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO DO DUAL TYPE INSPECTIONS.

OUR BUILDING INSPECTORS DO BUILDING INSPECTIONS, OUR ELECTRICAL DO ELECTRICAL.

AND SO IT'S NOT EQUITABLE, IN MY MIND, TO HAVE OUR PLUMBING INSPECTORS TO DO PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL SO THEY CARRY A HEAVIER WORKLOAD.

AND SO, YES, WE'RE WORKING WITH DIRECTOR [INAUDIBLE] AND HER TEAM.

WE WE'RE WE'VE SUBMITTED A REQUEST FOR THEM TO TAKE A GOOD, HARD LOOK AT THIS AND COME BACK WITH RECOMMENDATIONS TO US, AND WE'LL BE HAPPY TO UPDATE YOU AND KEEP YOU POSTED ON THAT PROGRESS.

SO I DID HEAR ALSO THE PAY SCALE THE MORALE AND MORALE DO COME WITH WITH PAY, IF YOU PAY MORE, YOU GOT A MORALE PROBLEM BETTER.

SO HOW ARE WE LOOKING AT WITH HR SO LOW PAY SCALE AND HIGH IS COMPARED TO THE TO THE MARKET.

SO IS THERE AN ISSUE WITH PAY SCALE RATING NOW.

CHAIR I'M NOT I'M NOT UP TO DATE ON WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN THE PAY.

I THINK COMPENSATION AND HR HAVE DONE A FANTASTIC JOB OF BEING PROACTIVE IN ANALYZING THE PAY RATES, AND THEY'VE EVEN INCREASED THE PAY RATES AT AT DIFFERENT POSITIONS TO BRING THEM UP TO A CLOSER MARKET STANDARD.

BUT FOR THE INSPECTORS, WHAT WE CAN DO IS WE CAN EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES AND HAVE A REAL DRILL DOWN DISCUSSION TO ANALYZE ALL OF THE INSPECTOR POSITIONS, IF YOU LIKE.

BUT ALSO, WE WERE LOOKING AT PERSONNEL AT ONE TIME BECAUSE OF PERSONNEL, THE ENGINEERS, THEY WERE NOT GETTING PAID ENOUGH MONEY.

WE NEED TO INCREASE THAT.

HOW WE SOLVE THAT ISSUE WITH WITH THOSE ENGINEERS THAT WE NEED ARCHITECTS, THAT WE NEED A DESIGN TO REVIEW BECAUSE THERE WAS AN ISSUE, THEY WERE NOT CONFORMED TO THE MARKET. SO CHAIR COMPENSATION HR DID A FANTASTIC JOB AGAIN OF SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT SERVICES THROUGH THAT TIME WHEN WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH ENGINEERS, FOR SOME REASON THEY WERE GONE.

IT'S FLIPPED.

WE ARE STAFFED UP APPROPRIATELY WITH ENGINEERING, BUT NOW WE'RE SEEING A DECREASE IN INSPECTORS.

AND SO WE NEED TO REPEAT THE EXERCISE, GET BACK TO ANALYZING WHERE THOSE MARKET RATES SHOULD BE, AND THINK STRATEGICALLY

[00:25:08]

ABOUT HOW WE BRING THOSE PAY GRADES UP.

WE'VE ROLLED OUT INCENTIVE PAY.

SO WE'VE GIVEN ALL OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS ON THE INSPECTION STAFF SIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN KIND OF A GROCERIES WHERE THEY CAN MAKE ADDITIONAL MONEY WHEN THEY GET ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL AND TRADE CERTIFICATIONS.

BUT WE CAN DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO EXPLORE HOW WE LOOK AT ALL OF THE INSPECTORS POSITIONS HOLISTICALLY.

IS THERE SOME INSPECTOR POSITION IS LOW IN PAY AND SOME IS HIGH.

AND SO IT'S NOT A BALANCE.

I GUESS MY UNDERSTANDING YOU'RE HEARING THAT WE GOT SOME IS ALL RIGHT AND SOME IS NOT.

I DON'T HAVE THAT INFORMATION IN FRONT OF ME, CHAIR.

BUT WHAT I WAS SAYING EARLIER IS WE HAVE SOME FOLKS DOING DOUBLE DUTY.

THE MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING INSPECTORS SPECIFICALLY PERFORM MULTIPLE TRADE INSPECTIONS, AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE WE'RE COMPENSATING THEM.

AND SO THAT'S WHY I'VE SUBMITTED THE REQUEST.

AND IN PARTNERING WITH DIRECTOR [INAUDIBLE] TO REALLY HELP ME TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE BEING EQUITABLE WITH THEM, BECAUSE HONESTLY, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WE ARE AT THIS POINT. OKAY.

AND SPEAKING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE CONCIERGE.

SO HOW ARE WE LOOKING AT THE FEEDBACK TO THE CUSTOMER WALK IN APPEAL? I THINK COUNCIL REALLY MADE A GOOD POINT.

YOU KNOW, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT, BUT HOW IS THE EMPLOYEES ARE OF THE THE EMPLOYEES OR CUSTOMERS WALKING INTO STEMMONS, YOU KNOW, IS THEY GETTING THE, THE FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU KNOW.

CHAIR, I'M GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO ASSISTANT DIRECTOR YOUNG TO TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR VISION WITH PROMOTING A WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, SPECIFICALLY WITH THE TRANSITION TO STEMMONS AND HOW IT'S KIND OF LAID OUT.

SO I'LL LET HIM ADDRESS THAT.

GREAT QUESTION.

SO WITH THAT, WE ARE GOING TO DOUBLE OUR EFFORTS ON THE FRONT LINE.

THERE'S A SPECIFIC AREA IN STEMMONS THAT'S DESIGNATED FOR TWO CONCIERGE STAFF THAT WILL BE ABLE TO WALK CUSTOMERS THROUGH THE AREAS, VARIOUS AREAS.

WE'RE LOOKING AT STAGING ONE CUSTOMER, ONE CUSTOMER ADVOCATE TEAM MEMBER IN THE LOBBY THAT WILL GREET CUSTOMERS AND KIND OF WALK THEM THROUGH.

WE UNDERSTAND WITH IT BEING A HIGH RISE IN A NEW FACILITY, WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO WALK OUR CUSTOMERS THROUGH AND GUIDE, GUIDE THEM THROUGH.

AND SO WE'LL CONTINUE TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE THE RIGHT CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS AT THE, AT THE FRONT, AND THEN THEY'LL HAVE BACKUP MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS TO ASSIST THOSE CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE ADDITIONAL ISSUES OR AREAS OF CONCERN.

AND SO WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY THAT STEMMONS PROVIDES IN THE LAYOUT OF IT AND BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE AN UPDATED THE CUSTOMER CUSTOMER SERVICE INITIATIVE.

WITH THAT, I WANT TO ASK YOU, IS THERE ANY QUESTIONS YOU WANT TO ANSWER THE COMMITTEE ANY SUGGESTION THAT WE HAD A POLICY MAKER THAT WE LOOK, WE NEED TO LOOK AT IN THE FUTURE TO HELP YOUR JOB MUCH EASIER.

CHAIR, THANK YOU FOR THAT QUESTION.

I THINK AS THE DIRECTOR FOR THE DEPARTMENT I HAVEN'T BEEN WITH THE DEPARTMENT GOING ON TWO YEARS.

TWO MORE MONTHS IT'LL BE TWO YEARS, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE A LITTLE BIT LONGER.

WE'VE GOTTEN A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE, FROM THE COMMITTEES.

AND ALL WE ASK IS THAT YOU CONTINUE TO SUPPORT US AND BE PATIENT WITH US AS WE WORK THROUGH FIXING THINGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED YEARS AGO.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE THE DALLAS NOW PROJECT THAT WON'T BE ROLLED OUT TO THE SUMMER OF 2025.

BUT THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE EFFICIENT WE'RE GOING TO BE WHEN WE CAN ELIMINATE A LOT OF THE DUPLICATED EFFORTS THAT WE, YOU KNOW, GO THROUGH RIGHT NOW.

AND SO YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT YOUR FEEDBACK AGAIN, HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR LEADING THIS TEAM.

THIS TEAM IS RELATIVELY NEW.

AND SO I'M VERY PROUD OF THE WORK THAT WE'VE DONE AND THAT THEY'VE DONE.

AND SO WE'RE JUST REALLY EXCITED ABOUT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS.

THANK YOU. WITH THAT THE NEXT ITEM, WE GOT A BRIEFING MEMO, BRIEFING C, ROBIN BENTLEY.

GOOD AFTERNOON, COMMITTEE MEMBERS.

WE HAVE A COUPLE OF PID RENEWALS AND ONE PID EXPANSION ON THE TOURISM PID TO ADD A HOTEL.

I ALSO WANT TO TAKE THE MOMENT TO INTRODUCE SOME FACES YOU MAY NOT HAVE SEEN FROM MY TEAM.

MARIA SMITH, WHO'S MY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR YOU USUALLY DEAL WITH ON PIDS, IS ON MATERNITY LEAVE.

SO IN HER ABSENCE, JOSEPH NAVA IS THE MANAGER OVER OUR OPERATING BUDGET, WHICH INCLUDES THE PIDS.

AND THEN A FAMILIAR FACE TO YOU ALL, NATALIE, WHO WE TOOK FROM COUNCIL OFFICE AS OUR NEW MANAGER OVER THE PID PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY.

[00:30:07]

SO THE THREE OF US ARE HERE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE.

BUT THESE ARE JUST NORMAL EXTENSIONS AND EXPANSIONS.

OKAY. ANYONE ON THE COMMITTEE HAVING A QUESTION BY BRIEFING MEMO C, ANYONE? CHAIRMAN STEWART, YOU HAVE THE FLOOR.

THANK YOU, CHAIR ATKINS.

I JUST WANT TO THANK VICKI TAYLOR, WHO IS THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NORTH LAKE ISLANDS PID.

SHE DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB OF RENEWAL THIS YEAR AND WAS ABLE TO EXPAND THE NORTH LAKE ISLANDS PID.

THIS IS, OF COURSE, IN THE AREA THAT I TALK ABOUT ALL THE TIME, FOREST AND AUDELIA.

SO I JUST WANTED TO EXTEND MY CONGRATULATIONS TO HER FOR GETTING RENEWAL DONE AND GETTING THE EXPANSION TO AN AREA ALONG SKILLMAN UP TO FOREST, WHERE I THINK WE COULD DO THE PID, COULD DO SOME REALLY IMPORTANT AND IMPACTFUL WORK.

SO THANK YOU, MISS TAYLOR.

AND THAT'S I DON'T HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

JUST KUDOS TO HER.

ANYONE ELSE? MR. CHAIR? YES.

CHAIRMAN BAZALDUA. THANK YOU.

I JUST WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT OF PERSONAL PRIVILEGE AND SAY A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO NATALIE.

IT'S AWESOME TO SEE YOU UP THERE AND WISH YOU WELL IN THIS NEW ENDEAVOR AND LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU WITH PIDS IN DISTRICT SEVEN.

ANYONE ELSE? WITH THAT SO LET'S GO TO UPCOMING AGENDA ITEM D, HEATHER LEPESKA.

YEAH. SO AGAIN JUST HERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS.

THIS IS A MEMO NOMINATING THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS TO THE DALLAS DEVELOPMENT FUND, WHICH OF COURSE IS OUR ENTITY THAT OVERSEES OUR NEW NEW MARKET TAX CREDIT ALLOCATION.

AND THE PROCESS ON THESE IS THAT THE CITY MANAGER NOMINATES AND THE COUNCIL APPROVES.

AND SO WE'VE GONE THROUGH, AS YOU REMEMBER A FEW TIMES, COME TO YOU ASKING FOR NOMINATIONS.

WE PUBLICIZED IN OUR SOCIAL MEDIA GOT SOME GOOD NOMINEES.

AND SO THESE THREE WERE BRINGING FORWARD FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL.

AND HEATHER LEPESKA, WHO OVERSEES OUR NEW MARKETS PROGRAM, CAN ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ON THOSE NOMINATIONS.

THANK YOU. WE DO WE HAVE ANY QUESTION ON UPCOMING AGENDA ITEM D.

VIRTUAL, ANYONE HERE.

NO. GREAT.

OKAY. [INAUDIBLE] THAT CAN COMPLETE OUR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE TODAY.

SO IT'S NOW 1:37.

I CALL THIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE ADJOURNED.

THANK YOU.
