SO FOR OUR IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES, WE CONNECTED WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF DALLAS REFUGEE SERVICES, MEAD, MOSAIC, ESOL, AND PUBLIC LIBRARIES FOR OUR AMEX SPEAKERS.
WE CONNECTED WITH THE SOCCER LEAGUE, SMALL BUSINESS, SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS, CHURCH LEADERS, AND WE SPECIFICALLY CONDUCTED OUTREACH ALONG THE EASTERN STRETCH OF PARK LANE IN DALLAS, WHICH IS ULTIMATELY THE CENTER OF THE AMER SPEAKING ETHIOPIAN COMMUNITY FOR OUR STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS, CONSOLIDATED PLAN PRESENTATIONS WE'RE GIVING TO HOUSING FORWARD, WHICH IS THE LEAD AGENCY FOR OUR LOCAL CONTINUUM OF CARE, WHO'S ABLE TO CARE AT THEIR EFFORTS.
WITH THE HELP OF THE E ES ESG BUDGET GRANT AND THE RYAN WHITE PLANNING COUNCIL, WHO'S ABLE TO CARRY OUT THEIR EFFORTS WITH THE HOPPA BUDGET.

ROBOCALL WERE CONDUCTED, TEXT MESSAGE ALERTS WERE SENT OUT.
THE CITY OF DALLAS IS TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS MEMO, CITY COUNCIL NEWSLETTERS, VIDEO SCRIPTS, YOUTUBE FACE-TO-FACE NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH, AND ON EVENTBRITE, A TOTAL OF SIX PUBLIC MEETINGS CONSISTING OF ONE IN-PERSON MEETING, ONE HYBRID MEETING, AND FOUR VIRTUAL MEETINGS, INCLUDING THE TELEPHONE TOWN HALL MEETING WERE HELD BEGINNING JANUARY 4TH TO JANUARY 18TH, 2024, WE COLLABORATED WITH A NUMBER OF CITY DEPARTMENTS TO ENSURE WE HAD STAFF AVAILABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS THAT CITIZENS MAY HAVE.
IN ADDITION TO DEPARTMENT STAFF, WE INVITED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONERS TO ATTEND OUR PUBLIC MEETINGS.
SO THOSE CITY DEPARTMENTS THAT WE, UH, REQUESTED THEIR ASSISTANCE WERE SMALL BUSINESS CENTER HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION, THE OFFICE OF COMMUNITY CARE, COMMUNITY COURTS, OFFICE OF HOMELESS SOLUTIONS, 3 1 1 PARKS AND RECREATION CO COMPLIANCE, FAIR HOUSING AND WELCOMING COMMUNITIES.
WE MANAGE FEEDBACK DATA USING MICROSOFT FORMS, SURVEYS AND PUBLIC SPEAKER, UH, REGISTRATIONS SO FAR, OUTCOMES.
WITH THE HELP OF THESE TOOLS, WE WERE, WE WERE ABLE TO DEVELOP A REPORT THAT DETAILED THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES AT PUBLIC MEETINGS, NUMBER OF SURVEY PARTICIPANTS, AND OUR SURVEY OUTCOMES FOR OUR COLLABORATIONS.
AGAIN, UM, WE UTILIZE THE ASSISTANCE OF CITY DEPARTMENTS AND THE CDC FOR DISTRIBUTION OF THE FLYER AND OUR PRESS RELEASE.

SO WE REVISIT THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, THE LIBRARY COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT, UM, AND A MULTITUDE OF OTHER DEPARTMENTS.SO FOR OUR FLYER DISTRIBUTION, UM, OVER A THREE DAY PERIOD, BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES STAFF DISTRIBUTED OVER 6,000 FLYERS TO NEIGHBORHOODS AND BUSINESS DISTRICTS ACROSS THE NORTH, EAST, SOUTH, AND WEST AREAS OF DALLAS THROUGH CANVASSING EFFORTS.
IN ADDITION TO THOSE CANVASSING EFFORTS, WE REQUESTED THAT THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT DISTRIBUTE OUR FLYER TO EACH OF THEIR RECREATION CENTERS, WHICH IS OVER 40, UM, DIFFERENT FACILITIES, OUR DALLAS PUBLIC LIBRARIES, WE DISTRIBUTED OUR FLYER TO DALLAS AREA CHURCHES, CITY SUB-RECIPIENTS, AS WELL AS OUR CHILDHOOD, UM, OUR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS.
MOVING ON TO OUR ATTENDANCE REPORT.
SO IF YOU CAN, UH, LOOK AT THE, THE ACTUAL REPORT, YOU CAN SEE THAT OVERALL OUR BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES PARTICIPATION FOR OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PUBLIC MEETINGS INCREASED IN COMPARISON TO PREVIOUS YEARS.
SO FOR OUR VERY FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD PUBLIC MEETING, WE HAD 45 ATTENDEES FOR FY 20 24, 25.
IN COMPARISON TO 33 FOR THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR.
OVERALL, WE HAD AN INCREASE OF ABOUT 400 ATTENDEES FOR OUR TOTAL, UH, MEETING PARTICIPATION.
CONTINUING WITH THE TREND IN A POSITIVE MANNER, YOU CAN SEE FOR OUR, UM, ATTENDANCE REPORT FOR OUR STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS, FOR OUR COC MEETINGS, WE HAD AN 18% INCREASE AND A 32% INCREASE WITH OUR HOPPER REPORT AND CONSULTATION MEETING, MOVING ALONG TO OUR FY 20 24 25 SURVEY RESULTS.
SO THE GREEN AREA JUST REPRESENTS THE NUMBER OF COMMENTS THAT WERE RECEIVED TOTAL.
SO WE RECEIVED 158 TOTAL COMMENTS.
UM, FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR, WE RECEIVED 438 SURVEY RESPONSES.
AND SO THOSE TWO TOTALED, WE HAD, UM, 596 QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS THAT WERE SUBMITTED THROUGHOUT THIS FISCAL YEAR IN RESPONSE TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PUBLIC MEETINGS.
SO AGAIN, 158 ATTENDEES PROVIDED FEEDBACK THROUGH OUR SURVEYS, ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, MAIL OR EMAIL.
AND SO THOSE QUESTIONS RANGED ON, UH, VARIOUS TOPICS, BEGINNING WITH AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO HOME REPAIR, UM, HOW WE CAN INCREASE OUR OUTREACH EFFORTS AS WELL AS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH.
SO ONCE WE HOST OUR MEETINGS, WE DO LIKE TO FIND OUT HOW OUR PARTICIPANTS HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT, UM, THE OCCURRENCE OF OUR MEETINGS.
AND SO ONE OF THE QUESTIONS IN OUR SURVEY WAS, HOW DID YOU LEARN ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD PUBLIC MEETINGS? TWO INDIVIDUALS RESPONDED THAT THEY FOUND OUT VIA NEWSPAPER, FIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA, 69 VIA WORD OF MOUTH, 16 INDIVIDUALS FOUND OUT FROM OUR CITY OF DALLAS WEBSITE, 45 BY EMAIL AND 105 INDIVIDUALS RESPONDED THAT THEY FOUND OUT IN OTHER WAYS.
SO WE HAD A TOTAL OF 242 PARTICIPANTS THAT LET US KNOW HOW THEY HEARD ABOUT OUR MEETINGS.
AND SO THAT CONCLUDES OUR RECAP OF OUR FY 20 24, 25 NEIGHBORHOOD PUBLIC MEETINGS OUTCOME.

UH, UNFORTUNATELY TOMMY ALLEN, UM, IS, WAS HINDERED BY TWO THINGS, ONE OF WHICH WAS, UM, BIBLICAL FLOODING AND THE OTHER OF WHICH CANNOT BE FIXED, WHICH IS AN EXTREMELY SMALL PARKING LOT.
AND OUR MEETING COINCIDED WITH A, UM, VERY ATTENDED, UM, JAZZERCISE CLASS.

SO WE THOUGHT IF COMMISSIONERS WANT TO DO THAT, WE COULD EITHER HAVE THE CHAIR OF THIS CITIZEN PER OR THE CDC CHAIR BE A GUEST AT PODCAST THAT JUST ON A THOUGHT.
BUT WE ALSO WANT TO CREATE A VIDEO LIKE INFORMATION.
LAST YEAR DURING THE NCD WEEK, WE PRODUCED A NICE DOCUMENT THAT CAPTURES FOUR YEARS OF IMPACT OF WHAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED WITH THESE FUNDS IN THE PREVIOUS FOUR YEARS.
WE CAN TAKE THIS AND CONVERT THIS TO, INTO INFORMATION WORKING WITH THE COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT.
THIS WILL TELL EVERYONE WHAT YOU CAN BENEFIT WHAT YOU HAVE, WHAT THESE FUNDS HAVE DONE.
