AND THEY GIVE US A DESIGN SCHEDULE TO LET US KNOW THAT WE TELL OUR STAKEHOLDERS THIS IS THE DESIGN DESIGN SCHEDULE THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT WHAT'S GOING. SO WE KIND OF ESTABLISH THOSE, UM, MILESTONES AND BOOKMARKS OF WHEN THE DESIGN IS GOING TO COMPLETE IT, THE ANTICIPATED COMPLETION DATE, AND SET THOSE DATES FOR WHEN WE PLAN ON GOING TO CONSTRUCTION. NORMALLY WITH OUR, UM, INTERAGENCY FUNDING, ESPECIALLY FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, WE HAVE TO GET THESE PROJECTS TO CONSTRUCTION BY A CERTAIN DATE MM-HMM . AND WE WORK OFF OF THE, UM, TDOT, UM, LETTING SCHEDULE. SO THEIR FISCAL YEAR ENDS AUGUST 31ST. SO USUALLY THE LATEST THAT WE HAVE TO HAVE OUR, UM, FDAA AND SLOA DONE IS AT THE END OF AUGUST. SO WE USUALLY GO INTO CONSTRUCTION THAT NEXT SUMMER, WHICH WOULD BE THAT FOLLOWING SUMMER. , I, I'LL ELABORATE. SO, UH, THE QUESTION IS WHEN CAN WE START THE DESIGN ? ONCE WE YES. ONCE WE IDENTIFY, I MEAN, AGAIN, IF THE BOARD APPROVES THE, UH, FUNDING, THEN WE WILL, UH, UH, PROCEED WITH THE PROCUREMENT. IF WE'RE GONNA GO, IF THE CITY IS GONNA NEED THE PROCUREMENT, THEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT AN AVERAGE OF FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS MM-HMM . BEFORE FROM THE DAY WE START THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS TO THE DAY THAT WE ARE ON COUNCIL FOR, UH, FOR THE AWARD OF THE ENGINEERING WORK. SO, UH, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, THE BEST GUESS FOR TODAY IS THAT IF THE BOARD APPROVES THE FUNDING MM-HMM . UM, AND JUST TO FOLLOW UP ON THAT, WITH, WITH THE FUNDING WITH THIS PIECE OF IT, WOULD THAT GET YOU GUYS WHOLE OR ARE YOU STILL LOOKING FOR OTHER FUNDING FOR THE, THE STUDY? UM, SO AGAIN, WHAT WE WANTED TO DO, AND THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING LATELY, IS THAT I, I WANT TO COME IN HERE AND TELL YOU, HEY, I NEED $10 MILLION FOR SOMETHING AND I DON'T HAVE GOOD, UH, SCOPE AND, AND GOOD. UM, AND THEN ONCE WE DO THAT WE'LL HAVE A CLEAR PICTURE OF WHAT WOULD IT TAKE AND WHAT THE OPTIONS ARE FOR, UH, WHAT TO DO THERE. SO FOR EXAMPLE, I'LL GIVE YOU WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS. NUMBER ONE IS, IT WOULD BE THE, IS THE BETTER OPTION TO LEAVE THIS BRIDGE ALONE AND CONSTRUCT A SEPARATE BRIDGE FOR THE DICTORIAL, WHICH MAY, MAY IMPACT RIGHT OF WAY MAY IMPACT OTHER THINGS, OR JUST GO AHEAD AND REPLACE THE BRIDGE AND INTEGRATE THE TRAIL INTO IT. SO THESE ARE THE TWO THINGS THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT AND WE'LL DO THE, UM, COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS FOR WHICH OPTION THAT WE'RE GONNA GO FOR. OR IS THAT WHOLE 800 FEET ENCOMPASSING THE DART BRIDGE AND RIGHT AWAY? UM, WE HAVE MADE SOME GREAT PROGRESS THIS YEAR WITH THE, UH, FUNDING THAT WE APPROVED LAST MEETING FOR THE, UH, WALNUT PILL TO, UH, I CAN TALK THE WALNUT HILL TO CHURCH SEGMENT OF THE MASTER PLAN FOR SKILLMAN. AND NOW THIS, UH, WE ARE WELL ON OUR WAY TO EXPENDING SOME OF OUR TIF DOLLARS. I JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE LOOK AHEAD AS TO WHAT'S COMING. THERE ARE MEETINGS IN PROGRESS RIGHT NOW IN COOPERATION WITH THE P UH, WORKING WITH, TOGETHER WITH THE CITY, UH, AT THE LBJ SKILLMAN INTERCHANGE WITH THE GREEN RIBBON MONEY THAT IS COMING FROM . SO, UH, THEY'RE HAVING SOME MEETINGS AND TALKING ABOUT DESIGN OPTIONS IN, IN THE SCOPE OF PROJECTS. WE HOPE TO BE BRINGING THAT TO THE TIF BOARD AT SOME POINT. ALSO, THERE'S SOME WORK BEING DONE AT FOREST AND ARDELIA, UM, THAT, UM, THE PIT IS WORKING WITH THE CITY ON SOME SAFETY ISSUES UP THERE, SOME ENHANCEMENTS THAT CAN BE DONE TO CROSSWALKS AND MEDIANS AND SO FORTH. SO THAT'S ANOTHER ONE THAT'S IN THE WORKS. AND THEN I DON'T WANNA FORGET THAT WE HAVE DONE SOME WORK ON THE STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION PLAN. SUE'S GETTING UP TO SPEED ON THAT. UM, SHE BROUGHT UP AN EXCELLENT POINT ABOUT IT BEING A GOOD TIME TO BRING BACK DART INTO THE DISCUSSION WITH THE BRIDGE COMING ONLINE SOON. UH, THERE'S BEEN A CHANGE AT DART. I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH JACKINSKY FOR 20 YEARS AND HE'S RETIRING. WE HAVE A NEW PERSON ON BOARD, UH, PAM JOHNSON. AND, UH, WE WILL BE INTRODUCING OURSELVES, AND, AND STARTING THOSE DISCUSSIONS. BUT, UH, THAT SAID THE STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION PLAN IS PROBABLY GONNA BE, UM, WE, WE WILL GET BACK TO IT, BUT WE'RE GONNA TRY AND BRING IN SOME OF THOSE ELEMENTS AS WELL.
