was found to have violated
- certain provisions of the code of Ethics by a panel of the Ethics Advisory Commission at a hearing conducted on June 26th. Because the respondent is no longer a city employee, the code requires the final sanction
be decided by the Dallas City Council. Laura Morrison from the
- City Attorney's office will advise us on the procedure for this
item. Laura. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. On June 26th, a panel of the ethics Advisory Commission convened to adjudicate the
complaint filed against Juan Gamez, former city employee of Dallas Water Utilities
- the code of ethics. The options relevant to a former city employee are a letter of notification, letter of
admonition, reprimand, resolution of censure, referral for damages or injunction or referral for criminal prosecution. The Ethics Advisory Commission Panel has

whether remedial action has been taken that will mitigate the adverse effects of the violation, and I would like to introduce Tom Perkins. He's in the gallery today. He serves as the vice chair of the Ethics Advisory Commission, and he chaired the hearing

employee. He at the time currently worked for Dallas Water Utilities. It was only after the IG pursued the investigation and I believe it might have also been
